I am a mom to three boys destined for leadership. They are each uniquely gifted and keep me seeking the Holy Spirit daily for His assistance in training them in the way that they should go.
I am a wife to the greatest revivalist, visionary of our time. If you doubt me, just watch and see…
God hand picked Travis for me because this man tells me my job isn’t to have the house clean or amazing dinners cooked. My job is to make sure our boys enjoy their childhood. He also never gages my value by the stack of dishes, but by my conversations with the Lord for myself and for our family. He LOVES for me to be filled up on the things of the Lord and sees the value that brings to our home.
Now that our boys are all in school, Trav has given me another job. He has challenged me to steward the things God is teaching me well by spending my days writing for my blog and working on my book. I am a stay at home mom who actually stays at home because I am passionate about my time alone spent studying and writing. I miss lunching with friends and shopping, but nothing brings more life to me than guarding these hours in my day. I love it not because of what I get to share with others, but because through the process I am interacting and conversing with Jesus. It’s like a romantic retreat that produces life and “bears much fruit”. Jn 15:5
I have had the honor of guest writing for multiple Women’s blogs including Studio G and Destiny in Bloom. I have written curriculum for and led ladies bible study groups. I was honored to be a workshop speaker at Gateway’s women’s conference Pink Impact and other women’s conferences in the past.
I am on the panel for Sower Of Seeds: Project Red Light Rescue where I get to donate my time, money and resources to help save women who have been trafficked. If this is a cause on your heart please consider visiting the site to see how you can help.
In 2011 I directed a team of teachers at Gateway’s NRH campus for a class called Prayer Tools. Together with my team we provided a safe environment where after a short teaching we “practice praying”. Our class learned to confidently hear God’s voice corporately and have even taken what they have learned home to connect with God on their own.
As a leader I seek to only be a GPS leading people to know God on their own and then expressing that they are empowered to do the same for themselves and others. I never want to be a third wheel in someone’s relationship with God because I know that as soon as I can step out of the way God will draw His disciples into deeper places with Himself.
As you read my blogs you will get to know the good bad and ugly about me and through your comments I hope to connect with you as well. Thank you for taking the time to read and be a part of what God is doing in my life.
Life More Abundantly To You,
R
